10.06 PRAYER LIST

1. Pray that our friends, neighbors and new contacts who do not have a church home find hope at BOH.

2. Pray that God provides additional people to serve and help our core carry the load.

3. Pray that God continues to bless our youth ministry as they move toward their own launch on Nov. 1.

4. Pray for additional funds to be raised.  We hope to increase our support of Armond and keep him with us for at least another year.

5. Pray that God works in the hearts and lives of those who visit us in the coming weeks.  Pray that they would accept Christ as their Lord and Savior, connect with a church, grow in their faith, serve others, share their faith, and surrender completely to Jesus.

6. Pray for our launch team to be filled with strength, peace, and courage.

October Update

3-2-1... We have Lift Off!

"U.S.S. Bridge Of Hope, this is NASA. Your launch was a success; you have cleared the launch pad & are on course. Please proceed as planned. Over."

Launch Sunday was filled with a mix of emotions and energy. There were those of us that were awakened at 1:00 am, 2:30 am, 3:30 am and 4:30 am that felt the need to begin praying for the day. We all felt that it was definitely God calling us to prayer. Other than Armond having a  bit of stress over technical difficulties, most everyone was relaxed and full of positive excitement, even joy for the long anticipated arrival of this day.

God came through in a very big way. We had 58 first time visitors and a total of 90 in attendance.  There were hands lifted in praise during the worship time, people singing loudly along with the band and you could feel the Spirit of God in that theatre! There were even teens from the youth group that came at 7:30 am to help.

There were some neat stories that came out of the morning.  One teen's mother came from Evansdale to take her home. She drove approximately 10 miles one way to pull her daughter from our church. She had arrived at the theatre and found her daughter and was going to take her away when she stopped to get a drink of water. She then said that she heard a quiet voice say to her, "She's thirsty... stay with her."  The mother realized that her daughter was seeking God's face & that this could be the place that she finds Him. Not only did she let her daughter stay with us, she stayed as well & was blessed by God.

How awesome is our Lord that he speaks to us early in the morning. And when we are obedient to Him, He affirms our mission & vision by delivering people unto Himself through us! Thanks for praying!!!
