Thank you for your generosity!!! Your support is a vital part of our ministry. Because of your financial support, we’ve been able to serve 100’s of people and see lives changed in our city.
We blessed over 1,000 people with our Halloween give-way. Seven families, going through hard times, got a big surprise for Christmas when we showed up with gifts and food. What a joy to see moms cry and kids scream for joy. God is always answering prayer as well. You might remember some of the requests we’ve posted at. Davion and Tabatha are both doing well along with a host of others. Just this past Sunday, throughout our service, people shared how God has been working. God is at work.
We have also faced some big challenges and losses. Diana Proctor, Sam Shaffer, Deb Walker, and Bob Pendleton all passed away between May and August. The Floyd’s, Bresson’s, and Mick Duben all moved away. Several have been hospitalized or lost jobs, as well. Life is not without its challenges, but they come for a reason... “These trials are only to test your faith, to show that it is strong and pure.” (1 Peter 1:7)
The challenges have helped us gain focus as we move forward. We’ve simplified by articulating Our STRATEGIC PRIORITIES...
Pray - We will surrender our lives to God, calling on him to heal and draw unbelievers to himself. Disciple - We will create multiple avenues to help people engage the Word of God.
Reach - We will share the good news by serving, inviting, and telling.
We’ve also stepped out with a big dream... a Community Enrichment Center... For some time, we have had on our hearts a desire to have a place where we can truly help under-resourced families make wise choices. We are not looking for a “church,” but an outpost for ministry in Waterloo. We’d like to provide car maintenance, daycare, support groups, financial coaching, education support, exercise equipment, job training, and more. We just can’t do this out of the movie theater. Our leadership team recently met and agreed that it is time to pursue this dream. PRAY THAT GOD WOULD OPEN DOORS AND PROVIDE THE RESOURCES FOR THIS BUILDING.
All things are possible with God... Thank you for being part of those “things” and giving to His work on earth. Thank you for partnering with us,
Pastor Kevin Van Wyk
