OUR CALENDAR

Our Call in the Reformed Church in America is to build on the foundations of discipleship, leadership, and mission and to renew existing congregations and start new churches.

OUR VISION
This is a vivid picture of what we believe is God’s dream.

God is calling us to raise up a vibrant, growing ministry which helps those who have never gone to church and those who wish they hadn’t connect with God and experience hope and meaning in life.

We see a church communicating God's message of hope and love by investing its time, energy and resources in building a bridge with the following infrastructure.

B1-Outreach: We see a church reaching younger generations by creatively inviting them through personal contact, mass advertising, and servant evangelism to experience God’s love within our community.

B2-Hospitality: We see a church warmly welcoming all who come, freely offering food and drinks, quickly responding to needs, clearly communicating what visitors want to know, thus making every effort to insure that no unbeliever is put off, so that they embrace the message of Christ.

B3-Gathering: We see a church gathering to celebrate God’s love with vibrant music and to grow through relevant messages which speak powerfully to a visual and experiential culture.

B4-Technology: We see a church utilizing technology like the internet (to invite, inform and interact with unbelievers) and audio/video equipment (to powerfully communicate God’s Word).

B5-Children & Youth: We see a church lovingly nurturing children and youth to be fully devoted followers of Jesus who build bridges to the next generation.

B6-Follow-up: We see a church striving to close the “back door” by contacting visitors during the week and connecting them to meaningful ministries and supportive relationships.

B7-Life Groups: We see a church gathering in small groups and classes to study the Word of God, build healthy relationships, and deepen their faith.

B8-Service:  We see a church equipped, empowered, and mobilized to serve God’s purposes in the world, where every servant enjoys serving because they utilize their unique SHAPE (spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality, experience) in ministry.

B9-Prayer: We see a church humbly submitting to the will of the Father, laying every concern at His feet, and trusting in His goodness at all times.

B10-Stewardship: We see a church personally sacrificing to enable the whole church to effectively reach younger generations, where 100% of the Partners in Ministry are tithing and serving weekly in a ministry.

B11-Facilities: We see a church creatively utilizing commercial buildings, church buildings and private homes for ministry purposes.

B12-Leadership: We see a church organized to be effective and efficient in accomplishing God’s purpose and led by people who are transformed, gifted, and equipped.

B13-Multiplication:  We see a church partnering with other ministries to plant new churches in the surrounding communities of NE Iowa and around the world.

"But these things I plan won’t happen right away.
Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches
when the vision will be fulfilled.
If it seems slow, wait patiently, for it will surely take place.
It will not be delayed."
(Habakkuk 2:3 NLT)
