OUR LEAD PASTOR
Kevin Van Wyk and his wife, Stephanie, have two little boys and a little girl. Ian is 6 years old and loves golf, football, baseball, and basketball. Zackary is 4 years old and clearly prefers jamming to music.  Elyssa is 2 and loves to swim.

Kevin and Stephanie met at Central College, where they both received degrees in Music Education. They were married in 1994, a year after their graduation. Kevin then went on to study at Fuller Theological Seminary, while interning at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Paramount, CA. He received a Master’s of Divinity in 1999.

Kevin and Stephanie then moved to Sheboygan Falls, WI., where Kevin served as the Associate Pastor for three years. In 2002, Kevin accepted a call to serve First Reformed Church in Evansdale, IA. Through the process of renewing the church, Bridge of Hope was started.  A core group/launch team was developed throughout 2005 and 2006.  The church was officially launched on Oct.1, 2006 at the Crossroads Theatre in Waterloo.
