OUR LEAD PASTOR
Kevin Van Wyk and his wife, Stephanie, have two little boys and a little girl. Ian, born 2001, loves golf, football, baseball, and basketball. Zackary, born 2003, likes gymnastics and clearly enjoys jamming to music. Elyssa, 2005, loves her dolls.

Kevin and Stephanie met at Central College, where they both received degrees in Music Education. They were married in 1994, a year after their graduation. Kevin then went on to study at Fuller Theological Seminary, while interning at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Paramount, CA. He received a Master’s of Divinity in 1999.

Kevin and Stephanie then moved to Sheboygan Falls, WI., where Kevin served as the Associate Pastor of First Reformed Church for three years. In 2002, Kevin accepted a call to serve First Reformed Church in Evansdale, IA. Through the process of renewing the church, Bridge of Hope was started.  A core group/launch team was developed throughout 2005 and 2006.  The church was officially launched on Oct.1, 2006 at the Crossroads Theatre in Waterloo.
