There is meaning in life!
A very wise man once said “Everything is meaningless, a chasing of the wind.” You can pour your life into many things. Hours, days, months, and years quickly disappear as we busy ourselves with work and pleasure. In the end, does it really matter?
Yes, it does matter what you do with your life. If you have acknowledged the existence of God and the gift of eternal life through the death of Jesus, you should live differently. God has given you a future with him and he rewards those who please him. The wise man quoted above concluded “Respect and obey God! This is what life is all about.”
"For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11, NLT)
You’ve probably heard about Rick Warren’s best seller “The Purpose Driven Life.” (Several valuable supplemental resources are listed to the left.) In his book, he outlines five key areas of life involvement for experiencing a fulfilling and meaningful life. For the one who trusts Jesus as their Leader and Forgiver, these five purposes are keys to experiencing the abundant life Jesus promised.
